Settings

The TP1-IR_Tx touch probe allows the user to set 2 parameters.

Parameter P1 — IR duty cycle

Parameter P1 determines the duty cycle of the PWM signal of the IR LED. This gives the user the opportunity to increase or decrease the radiated power according to local conditions and distance from the receiver. However, with a higher duty cycle value, the consumption in the operating state increases and thus the battery life is shortened.

Parameter P1 allows you to set the duty cycle:

Value Duty cycle
P1 = 1 10%
P1 = 2 20%
P1 = 3 30%
P1 = 4 40%
P1 = 5 50%

The manufacturer sets the duty cycle value to 20% and data on battery life and distance from the receiver are also related to it.

Parameter P2 — standby delay

Parameter P2 determines the time of transition to the standby state from the last deflection of the touch. In the standby state, the probe does not transmit and the READY signal is inactive.

Parameter P2 allows you to set the following times:

Value Time
P2 = 1 1 min
P2 = 2 2 min
P2 = 3 10 min
P2 = 4 20 min

The manufacturer sets the value P2 = 1, i.e. 1 minute.

Note

Both parameters are changed with the procedure under Changing Settings.
