Operating Modes

The TP1-IR touch probe can be in two basic modes. Standby mode and operating mode. From operating mode, the probe switches to standby mode after a set period of inactivity. The touch probe switches to operating mode after the stylus is deflected. In operating mode, the READY signal is also activated.

The period of inactivity before the probe returns to standby is set with parameter P2, see Settings.
